Over the last few weeks, I was nervous about the ethics of visiting a place that’s known for touching Gray whales. Do the whales really enjoy it? Do they seek out the boats? Or are they constantly pursued? I had promised myself that if something didn’t seem right, I wouldn’t sacrifice my beliefs for a cool photo. Within minutes of our first departure from the dock, all of my
