Today was spent in the medieval city of Rouen, where St. Joan of Arc was put on trial and then burnt at the stake on May 30, 1431. “I am not afraid,” she once said. “I was born to do this.” St. Joan of Arc, pray for us! As our guides pointed out, Normandy weather is unpredictable (“you can get four seasons in a single day!”).
