Tuesday September 1st saw the test fire of Age of Steam Roundhouse #19, Baldwin 1915 built 2-8-2. After extensive firebox repair the boiler was successfully hydrostatically tested and prepared for the test fire. During the test fire all the appliances were operated, and safety valves set to proper operating pressures. Part of testing procedures included the removal of piston valves and cylinder pistons to allow any accumulated boiler repair debris to pass through the throttle, superheater units
